    Hi Alan,
Epsom salts (magnesium) is usually added for leaf health and tomato taste and it is one of the important nutrients that tomato plants need.
Most good tomato food brands include magnesium, and the best time to add extra would be after the flowers have set fruit. The best way is to foliar feed it – applying it to the root zone can cause issues with other nutrients.
Epsom Salts or Magnesium can be bought in most garden centres.

    Nick

      Hi Bill,
It sounds like Blossom End Rot when the underside or blossom end of a tomato turns brown/black because it runs out of calcium when growing. This is a very common problem and to avoid it, you need to spray weekly with Chempak Calcium when the tomatoes first start to form.
      Regards,
      Nick
