I’ll just take these tomatoes into the kitchen and bag-up a few for the neighbours. By the way, it’s best not to bite into juicy tomatoes wearing a white shirt!
Growing tall varieties like Moneymaker and Alicante up against a sunny wall is ideal.
There’s some protection from the wind and rain, and the wall will store-up heat from the sun and give out that heat after the sun has gone in – a bit like a storage heater.
Plenty more tips in the tomato newsletter!
I’m always happy to hear from you if you would like to email me.
If you have a question about growing tomatoes, I’ll be happy to try and answer it. If you have a problem with your plants, a picture is usually very helpful.
